During the WorldSkills Kazan 2019, Russian school and university students will attend competition venues and interactive platforms.

On 20 May 2019, as part of the final of the 7th National Competition “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia), the 2nd training seminar focused on the Visitor Programme implementation was held at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre.

Before the seminar, Karina Salikova, Deputy Director General of the Union "Young professionals" (WorldSkills Russia), Damir Fattakhov, Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan and Visitor Programme Executive Head, and Emil Gubaydullin, WorldSkills Project Executive, gave a welcoming speech.

The 45th WorldSkills Competition will take place in Kazan on 22-27 August.

As part of the event, the Visitor Programme will be implemented. It is aimed at attracting attention of teenagers and young people aged 14-19  to skills. During the Competition, guests from Russian regions will visit competition venues and interactive platforms such as: “Try a Skill”, “Careers advice” and WorldSkills Culture Park. These platforms will give a chance to achieve professional excellence in Skills presented at the Competition.

The National Competition “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia) will become a test project before the international competition. For the above-mentioned reason, it is important to be attentive to details, and provide participants and guests with comfortable conditions. Speakers requested them to give a feedback after the completion of the National Competition.

“The Visitor Programme is unique. The main goal is not only to give children and teenagers positive emotions, but also to make them get acquainted with skills, and gain knowledge at the competition venue”, Damir Fattakhov, Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, admitted.

Emil Gubaydullin, WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Project Executive, in turn, mentioned that WorldSkills Russia 2019 is the first event at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre implemented with the use of the entire infrastructure. “We hope everything will be alright and we will spend time productively. We would be really happy to receive your feedback and recommendations in order to take corrective measures to avoid operational mistakes in the future”, he said.
