One School – One Country
One School – One Country is a project implemented by WorldSkills since 2007 as part of hosting the WorldSkills Competition. The goal of this project is to encourage cultural exchange between countries and raise the profile of skills and skilled careers to youth.
Students of 58 education institutions of Kazan and Laishevsky District of the Republic of Tatarstan aged from 11 to 15 years, and representatives of national teams of WorldSkills Member countries and regions got involved in the project.
On 22 August 2019, the day of the WorldSkills Competition Opening Ceremony, the national teams presented their national cultures, got acquainted with traditions and culture of Russia, and organized interactive workshops for students of educational institutions.
On 23-26 August, the students of the schools that participated in One School – One Country project visited the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 skills competitions at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre.
All schools of the Russian Federation willing to introduce their students to the WorldSkills movement can take part in the One School – One Country educational project. To host a thematic lesson dedicated to WorldSkills Kazan 2019, school staff are advised to use the resource materials given below.
