As part of the festival of professional excellence SKILLS BAZAAR in Gorky Park of Kazan, Mrs Globe 2019, Mrs. Russia International 2011, professional makeup artist, founder of the AT school of art and style Alisa Tulynina, and talented world-famous pastry chef, confectioner-artist, TV presenter Nina Tarasova became new WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Ambassadors.

A credential letter, Ambassador’s branded scarf and WorldSkills Kazan 2019 statue were handed to them by and Rafis Burganov, Deputy Prime Minister and Miniser of Education of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Jane Stokie, WorldSkills International Technical Director.

"I do appreciate the WorldSkills movement. Personally, I have been doing my job for 20 years, I am a professional makeup artist. It is great to choose a profession in which you create something with your own hands. I feel that I have to become a role model for the younger generation. I am confident that you should listen to your heart when choosing your profession and then everything will work out. Standing at the origins of a long professional journey, it is very important not to think twice," said Alisa.

"I know firsthand about WorldSkills. Travelling and working around the world, I meet young people who have already participated in this competition, and those who are only going to participate in the WorldSkills Competition. These are people with fiery eyes, full of tremendous energy, with a great desire to create. Applied professions are necessary, and I am glad that the representatives of our young generation share this view, want to move forward and develop this movement. I used to be an HR director in an IT company. At some point, I realized that it was so boring and uncomfortable for me to sit in the office in front of the monitor; I wanted to create something with my own hands. And I found myself in the art of confectionery," said Nina.

"It is a great honour for me to become a WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Ambassador because supporting the youth, setting them on the right, 'tasty', and beautiful path – it means a lot to me. I have a daughter and she’s also interested in confectionery. For me, it is important to give as much information as possible, support, help, and inspire the participants of the WorldSkills movement, so I will do my best to make it happen," said Nina Tarasova.
