Project sessions involving WorldSkills International Secretariat wrap up in Kazan

August 25 marked the end of the WorldSkills International inspection visit in the capital of Tatarstan. The visit featured the working sessions on the preparation of WorldSkills Kazan 2019.

During 5 days the representatives of WorldSkills International, WorldSkills Russia, and the Directorate for Sports and Social Projects held the working sessions concerning technical preparation of WolrdSkills Kazan 2019, discussed the participation of the Russian delegation in WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017, volunteers training, WorldSkills Flag Relay, and many other issues.

On August 23, the delegation led by David Hoey, WorldSkills International Chief Executive Officer, visited the construction site of the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre, which will play stage to the Competition in 2019.

David Hoey also had an official meeting with President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov on August 24. Present at the meeting were also Director General of WorldSkills Russia Robert Urazov, Director General of the Kazan Expo Minnegaliev Robert and others. The preparation of the Competition and its legacy were discussed during the meeting.

During the visit, WorldSkills International representatives repeatedly admitted the professionalism and experience of the organizing team of the Competition.

Their next joint visit with the WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017 organizers is scheduled on 4-9 December 2017.
