For a couple of hours the forum attendees plunged into the atmosphere of the Competition preparation - from the victorious bidding process to the present moment of active construction of rhe new and unique Kazan Expo WorldSkills Arena, and developing services for guests from more than 60 countries.
From the first minutes of the meeting the participants of the forum started expressing their interest in the international competition and ways to be a part of it. The audience addressed to the speaker questions of all kind, from the candidates selection criteria to volunteer services. This interest is self-explanatory – Khabarovsk is a host city of the WorldSkills Russia Competition in 2020. The experience of being part of the international competition will undoubtedly enrich the volunteers’ background and will contribute to the successful build-up and delivery of the competition in their region.
The Far Eastern Forum of Professional Initiatives Insight 2020 took place on the outskirts of Khabarovsk. One of its goals was to contribute to the foundation of the youth non-governmental organisation operating as part of the WorldSkills Russia movement in the Far Eastern Federal District.
The Insight 2020 forum brought together 250 leaders of the WorldSkills Russia movement and activists of the WorldSkills, Abilympics, JuniorSkills movements and volunteer teams of educational institutions of the Amur Oblast, Jewish Autonomous Oblast, Kamchatka Krai, Magadan Oblast, Primorsky Krai, Sakha Republic, Sakhalin Oblast, Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and Khabarovsk Krai.
Attendees and speakers of the forum discussed the complex approach of the development of the WorldSkills Russia movement in the Far Eastern Federal District, adaptation of vocational students for live production environment and acquisition of key soft skills. The forum also featured a special session aimed at training a volunteer team for an efficient organisation of the Regional Skills Competition that will be held this November in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
