Mitutoyo sponsors the 45th WorldSkills Competition

As a premium manufacturer of outstanding longitudinal measuring instruments, Mitutoyo will support skill competitions in the manufacturing sector at the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Competition with its technical expertise, measuring machines, and by providing over 800 instruments for competitor use.

At this years’ competition, Mitutoyo will also show samples of their extensive product range and its various applications and will provide educational, training, and career advice to the many visitors. On top of that, by measuring the competitors’ workpieces in respect of dimensional accuracy, using some of the world’s finest measuring equipment, Mitutoyo plays an essential role in the contests.

On 22-27 August 2019, the 45th WorldSkills Competition will be held in Kazan, Russia. It will bring together close to 1,400 young professionals from all over the world, aiming to inspire young people to choose technical and vocational careers. They represent the best of their peers worldwide and have qualified in national contests in order to compete in the world’s most prestigious competition of its kind. Participants compete in no less than 56 skill competitions from six different sectors.

Since the closing ceremony in Abu Dhabi in October 2017, the WorldSkills flag has been travelling all over the world, including to the North Pole aboard an icebreaker. It was even launched into space and raised at the International Space Station (ISS). After making its way through numerous regions and cities of Russia, it will finally reach Kazan, the capital of the Tatarstan Republic, for the opening flag parade of the 45thWorldSkills Competition.

Founded in 1950, WorldSkills is a global organization that promotes vocational, technological, and service-oriented education and training. It fosters more than 50 skilled professions in 82 member countries and regions by working with youth, educators, governments, and industries to help prepare the workforce and talent of today for the jobs of tomorrow. WorldSkills could not attain its mission without the support of partners, industries, governments, volunteers, and educational institutions.

WorldSkills Kazan 2019

The 45th WorldSkills Competition – the main international event of 2019 in Russia – will take place in Kazan on 22-27 August 2019. More than 1,300 Competitors from 63 countries and regions will compete in 56 skills.

Kazan won the right to host the Competition in 2015 having been ahead of other WorldSkills International member countries after voting. The WorldSkills Russia movement embraces all 85 Russian regions and is one of priority vocational talent development projects.
