This page provides information for media representatives accredited to the Competition – representatives of foreign and Russian information agencies, magazines, TV channels, radio stations, websites, blogs, etc., and Communication Officers who are part of Member Delegations.

Work rules for Media
International Media who have an accreditation badge are entitled to provide media coverage of the Competition within the city of Kazan, as well as at the Competition venues outside the city of Kazan. For other professional activities outside the Competition venues and outside the city of Kazan, as well as for media coverage of topics not related to the Competition, International Media should apply for media accreditation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Russian Federation. Assistance in customs procedures
Equipment designed for technical or professional use will be imported under the privileged regime of customs procedure. All Media who possess the above-mentioned equipment shall carry printed copies of accreditation system applications. More detailed information is available on the Border Crossing for Individuals page of the Crossing the Border section.
On the days of arrival/departure, media representatives living in the Ibis Hotel (official media hotel) will be provided with transfer service from the official arrival point to the official media hotel and back.
To obtain this service, media representatives need to indicate the official media hotel as their place of accommodation in the accreditation system. They also need to specify the date and time of their arrival and departure and confirm this information no later than 24 hours before the actual date and time of arrival or departure.
If you do not stay at the official media hotel, you can get from your point of arrival to the place of accommodation by taxi or public transport.
Media representatives accredited to the Competition will be able to book a room in the official media hotel – the Ibis Hotel (43 Pravo-Bulachnaya St., Building 1, Kazan). The advantage of the official media hotel is the availability of special shuttles, which will run during the Competition along the following route: Ibis Hotel – Kazan Expo – Ibis Hotel. To book a room in the Ibis Hotel, please fill in the application form in the accreditation system till 22 June 2019.
The Competition Organizer team will assist accredited media representatives in booking rooms at the Ibis Hotel. The number of rooms in the official media hotel is limited. Booking requests submitted later than than the indicated deadlines will be confirmed only upon availability of rooms. To guarantee your booking, you are kindly requested to make payment till 22 June 2019.
Please note that the Competition Organizer does not cover media representatives' accommodation costs.
Media representatives can stay at any hotel in Kazan. In this case booking assistance and accommodation consultations are not provided.
Shuttle bus service
On the days of the Competition, media shuttles will be arranged along the following routes:
● Ibis Hotel – Kazan Expo – Ibis Hotel
● Stop in the city – Kazan Expo – Stop in the city (location to be confirmed)
● Kazan Expo – Kazan Arena Stadium – Ibis Hotel (on the days of the Ceremonies)
The shuttle schedule will be made available at a later date.
Accredited media representatives are provided with coffee breaks in the media centre at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre and Kazan Arena Stadium (on the days of the Ceremonies).
At the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre, as well as at the Ceremonies venue – Kazan Arena Stadium – public dining areas will be organized, where everyone can buy cold and hot meals, snacks, cold and hot drinks for cash and non-cash payment. All payments are in rubles.
The Opening and Closing Ceremonies will be held at the Kazan Arena Stadium. Media representatives will be able to collect media tickets for the Ceremonies at the info desk of Kazan Expo's media centre after filling out an application form. Access to media zones at the Kazan Arena Stadium will be available for all accredited media representatives on the days of the Ceremonies.
A comfortable media centre will be organized at the Competion venue – Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre. It will be located between clusters A and K and will include:
- Info desk;
- 300-seat media work area;
- 200-seat press conference room;
- Food and recreation areas;
- Interview room;
- Photo and video shooting studio.
The following media facilities will be organized at the Ceremonies venue – Kazan Arena Stadium:
- 100-seat media centre;
- Media tribune;
- Winners' Circle (interview area during the Closing Ceremony).
Member Media accreditation
Accreditation of Member Media (Communication Officers, Team Journalists, Team Photographers, and Team Videographers) was launched in June 2018. To get an accreditation badge and access to a personal account in the WSK2019 Accreditation System, Member Media need to contact a Technical Delegate from a WorldSkills Member Organization.

Member Media services
Member Media services are provided according to the chosen and purchased package. Upon presentation of an accreditation badge, Member Media representatives are granted access to media zones.
