Directorate for Sports and Social Projects
The Directorate for Sports and Social Projects has vast experience hosting major international and Russian national events.
Significant projects organized by the Directorate, include the 27th Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan, the 16th FINA World Championships 2015, the 16th FINA World Masters Championships 2015 in Kazan, the World Fair Play Awards, and the WorldSkills Russia Competitions in 2014, 2015 and 2019.
The Directorate took part in the preparation and delivery of Kazan's bid campaign to host the WorldSkills Competition in 2019.
Together with the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, and the Agency for the Development of Professional Communities and Skilled Workers (WorldSkills Russia), the Directorate successfully delivered the 2019 WorldSkills Competition in Kazan.
The Directorate was founded by the Russian Federation represented by the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tatarstan represented by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the municipal formation of the city of Kazan represented by the Committee of Land and Property Regulations and the Russian Students Sport Union (RSSU).
