WorldSkills
Flag Relay

The WorldSkills Flag Relay is a unique project that took place for the first time in the history of the WorldSkills movement. The goal of the project was to bring together young professionals from all over the world, as well as to demonstrate the importance of vocational skills for economic growth and personal success.

Konstantin Larin, the gold medallist in Web Design and Development and winner of the WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017 Best of Nation Award (representative of the country with most points earned), brought the WorldSkills flag to the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students. The WorldSkills flag welcome event was held at the Olympic Park’s Medals Plaza in Sochi as part of the Festival closing ceremony on 21 October. The event officially gave a start to the WorldSkills Flag Relay project.
