From December 7 to 12, 2017 Kazan will be hosting the Volunteers Academy 2017 All-Russian Education Camp, that will bring together representatives of 20 volunteer organisations and associations from 16 regions of the Russian Federation and activists of volunteer centres of 12 higher education institutions of Kazan.
An in praesentia stage and summing up of the Open All-Russian WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Volunteer Centre Selection Contest are scheduled to be held on the sidelines of the camp. The contest will determine Russian volunteer centres that will join the Organising Committee team and train volunteers from the regions.
The camp’s education programme is aimed to make volunteers familiar with the creation and development of the WorldSkills movement, Russian Federation’s involvement in it and also its preparation for implementation of the volunteer recruitment programme at the federal level. The camp’s programme also includes attendance of the Republican Young Professionals (Worldskills Russia) Competition for the season 2017/2018 and a tour of the Interregional Skills Centre – Kazan Technical School of Information Technologies and Communication.
Representatives of the WorldSkills movement, representatives of the regional coordination centre of the WorldSkills movement in the Republic of Tatarstan – Professionals Skills Development Centre and Directorate of Sports and Social Projects (the co-organiser of WorldSkills Kazan 2019) will become key speakers at the event. Besides, the programme also features meetings with winners and runners-up of international and European skills competitions.
The camp will become not just the platform where the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Volunteer Centres will be determined, but will allow to demonstrate Kazan’s successful experiences of the volunteer programme implemenation to heads of volunteer movements from various regions of the country. The organisers have an important task – to acquaint participants with peculiarities of preparation for the 45th WorldSkills Competition and also to showcase the capacity of the Republic of Tatarstan in the development of youth cooperation and volunteer movement at the national level and international levels.
