Kazan International Airport to become the main WorldSkills Kazan 2019 air gate

The Kazan International Airport received a title of the official arrival and departure point for Competitors and guests of WorldSkills Kazan 2019. The Kazan International Airport and the Directorate for Sports and Social Projects signed an agreement on cooperation and coordination.

The agreement aims to enable joint actions to ensure the implementation of strategic objectives and achieve the best possible level of preparation and delivery of WorldSkills Kazan 2019.

The history of fruitful cooperation between the Directorate and the air gateway of the Republic dates back the times of preparation for the 27th Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan, and in 2015, the FINA World Championships 2015 was also successfully delivered.

"In the lead-up to the new major world-scale event, our joint efforts as well as the experience we gained during organization of numerous sports and social projects will help us provide the Competitors and guests of the event with the service on the highest level," noted Deputy Director General of the Directorate for Sports and Social Projects, Emil Gubaidullin. 

"Pretty soon, for the first time Russia will welcome the Competition of vocational occupations, WorldSkills Kazan 2019. The Kazan International Airport will become the official arrival and departure point of the major event. We can say that the whole world will watch us. And we are sure that thanks to the coherent and professional work of the airport services and the Directorate, we will provide the highest service level," noted Kazan International Airport Human Resources and Organization Development Director Dinara Valeeva.
