Industry 4.0

The flexibility in modern industry requires technicians with new skills, who are in demand in Industry 4.0, pretty much in all production sectors where transformation is taking place.

Competitors will need to be able to retrofit a machine from Industry 3.0 to Industry 4.0, design and develop a software project, set up data security, carry out smart maintenance, optimization, evaluation, and report.

The term “Industry 4.0” was first used as the title of German government’s development strategy project in 2011. The concept implied “Smart Manufacturing” based on a global Internet of Things and Services.

The Industry 4.0 concept is also known as the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
