The meeting of the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Organizing Committee was held today, 21 December, in the House of Government, Moscow, Russia. The meeting held by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Tatyana Golikova discussed legal and financial support of the upcoming event.
President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, made a keynote report. He spoke about the progress of the Competition preparation and the current state of affairs. Rustam Minnikhanov provided detailed insights into the cultural and volunteer programmes. Moreover, the meeting touched upon security arrangements for Competitors and attendees of the Competition, and the level of readiness of the WorldSkills Russian national team, as was reported by the Press Office of the President of Tatarstan.
About WorldSkills Kazan 2019
The 45th WorldSkills Competition – the main international event of the 2019 in Russia – will bring together more than 1,600 young professionals representing over 60 countries who will compete in 56 skills. It will take place in Kazan on 22-27 August 2019. It is expected that more than 250,000 spectators will attend the venue during the Competition and associate events.
Kazan won the right to host the Competition in 2015 having been ahead of other WorldSkills International member countries after voting. The WorldSkills Russia movement embraces 85 Russian regions and is one of the leading staff training projects.
