Rapper Levan Gorozia is the new WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Ambassador

WorldSkills Kazan 2019 team welcomes new participants. A new WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Ambassador was announced on 8 August in Yuzhnosakhalinsk during an opening ceremony of the 6th WorldSkills Russia National Competition. Levan Gorozia became a new Ambassador.

He was handed an Ambassador's branded scarf and a statue with the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 logo by Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Irina Potekhina, Director General of the Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia) Union, Robert Urazov, and First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan Andrey Pominov.

L’One expressed his gratitude to the Competition organizers and underlined the importance of the event for the whole country. "Today we help the youth choose their way and get the necessary skills, and tomorrow they are alongside those who are happy and proud to do their job," shared his thoughts the musician.

The official part of the ceremony was followed by a live concert of L'One by the Kristall Sports Palace.

WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Ambassador is a special programme of the 45th edition of the WorldSkills Competition. Kazan was granted the right to host this event in 2015. Renowned and talented professionals and public figures are invited to join the programme. WorldSkills Ambassadors promote vocational excellence among youth and show by their own example the importance of vocational specialists for economical growth and personal development.

L’One is the 5th Ambassador of WorldSkills Kazan 2019. Renowned Russian caterer and chef Arkady Novikov was the first one in February 2017, and Boris Akimov, journalist and founder of the LavkaLavka farmer cooperative was announced an Ambassador during the final of the 5th WorldSkills Russia National Competition in Krasnodar. Legendary raid driver Vladimir Chagin was the third Ambassador, and cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev became tho fourth.

L’One is a Russian rapper and resident of Black Star label, who succeeded to secure his leading position on the Russian music market with Internet as a leverage to promote his art. His "Gravitation" album issued in 2016 was the best Russian-language album of the year according to Apple editors. He is actively cooperating with WorldSkills Russia and has already been at Hi-Tech 2017 and WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017.
