Today marks one-year countdown to WorldSkills Kazan 2019

August 22 marks one year to go to WorldSkills Kazan 2019. The 45th WorldSkills Competition in Kazan, Russia will bring together more than 1,600 Competitors from more than 60 countries and regions.

The event will last 5 days; from August 22 to August 27. 56 skills will be represented at the Competition, and 3,500 volunteers will contribute to its delivery. Approximately 250,000 spectators are expected to visit the Competition venue – KAZAN EXPO International Exhibition Centre.

All skills are grouped into six sectors: Manufacturing and Engineering Technology, Information and Communication Technology, Construction and Building Technology, Transportation and Logistics, Creative Arts and Fashion, and Social and Personal Services. WorldSkills Competitions and all lead-up trainings allow young professionals to compete against one another, learn from each other, and become better at their chosen skill. Education, trainings and participation in a WorldSkills Competition is equal to four to five years of professional training.

WorldSkills International, WorldSkills Russia, and the Directorate for Sports and Social Projects are the organizers of the Competition.
