"We are finally here! We were astonished by the weather and beauty of the nature. Volunteers of Sakhalin gave us a warm welcome, provided a comfortable accommodation and tasty meal," shared his first impressions Radion Rafikof of Kazan Volunteers. "We also received our uniform, accreditation and just took a look around. A pleasant surprise was awaiting us in the evening, as we saw an Opening Ceremony of the student campus. We participated in fireworks and light shows and it inspired us a lot and made us think and appreciate the fact we were there, in Sakhalin. Tomorrow we are having our first trainings already. My functional area is an important one, I am a Catering volunteer. And I am a "regular" doctor of our delegation. So the most valuable thing, the health of our participants and guests, is literally in my hands!"
All volunteers of the national competition will receive a number of services including uniform, meals, and transfer. Volunteers from other cities will be provided with an accommodation, cultural programme, and excursions. The motivational programme will feature unique trainings and workshops delivered by WorldSkills Experts and guests of the event.
15 activists from the Republic of Tatarstan and 5 representatives of regional recruiting centres were granted a chance to take part in this competition and represent WorldSkills Kazan 2019 volunteer movement.
