WEILER Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH from Mausdorf / Emskirchen near the Middle Franconian city of Herzogenaurach is the market leader in the German-speaking area for conventional and cycle-controlled precision lathes with over 150,000 machines sold so far. CNC precision lathes and radial drilling machines complete the product range.
The precision lathes "Made in Germany" are used in training as well as in the individual and small series production of industry and trade. They can be found everywhere, where the emphasis is placed on highest precision in workpiece machining – in universities and research institutes, optics, and medical technology companies as well as in machine, tool, and mold manufacturers, in the aerospace industry, in pump construction and in oil and gas production.
The family business, which was founded 80 years ago, is managed by the managing partners Dkfm. Friedrich K. Eisler and his sons Mag. Alexander Eisler, Commercial Director, and Michael Eisler, MBA, Sales, Service, and Marketing Manager. Since 2019 Dr.-Ing. Andreas Wende is acting as Technical Director.
Around 550 employees work at the headquarters in Northern Bavaria and at a second production site in the Czech city of Holoubkov.
The machine builder attaches particular importance to sustainability and environmentally friendly production. A package of measures significantly reduced CO2 emissions. With its precision lathes, the company relies on the self-developed energy-saving system e-TIM, which reduces the power consumption in standby mode by up to 85 percent. As a member of an initiative which was given the same name, WEILER has also signed the sustainability code of the Blue Competence Initiative. A dedicated own service department ensures rapid maintenance, repair, and overhaul of WEILER precision lathes worldwide. As part of the partnership with WEMATECH WMS GmbH, tooling and special machines from other makes can also be repaired and overhauled.
In mid-2015, the company group of the Eisler family acquired KUNZMANN Maschinenbau GmbH in Remchingen-Nöttingen, which is a manufacturer of universal, milling and boring machines and machining centers founded in 1907.
