21.05.2019, 14:21

“Kazan is ready for the 45th WorldSkills Competition”, declared the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova after the plenary session at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre. The 7th National Competition “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia) started and gathered more than 1,500 Competitors and 1,200 Experts.

Guests observed all competition venues before the plenary session. We can see how our Competitors make efforts and do their best. We would like to wish our national team good luck”, said Tatyana Golikova.

The Conference Programme is organized during the Competition. According to Golikova, this part of the event is very important, since the Competitors will try to find out what kind of challenge is standing in front of the system of education and labor market. “It is obvious that we have to change ourselves. The world is changing. We are required to transform all educational processes”, noted Tatyana Golikova.

“The National Competition which takes place in Kazan is 95% of what is going to happen at the WorldSkills Competition”, said the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. He focused on the high level of organization and preparation of all services involved in the WorldSkills Competition. Any international event shows the interest in the Republic and its capital, we will try to take a good use of it to show our distinctness. We have to do our best to impress our guests and make them feel satisfied with everything. We have already had such experience during the Universiade, FINA World Aquatics Championships, and FIFA World Cup. I am sure that we will present our country successfully at the upcoming Competition.

“The National Competition has been organized for the seventh time; significant changes have taken place for this period of time”, noted the Director General of the Union “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia) Robert Urazov. “During the first Competition ever Competitors had no idea what kind of equipment they were supposed to use. But now they show great results comparable with international at the National Competition. Young professionals think about their career choice. This is the key change in the WorldSkills movement. Not only professional skills foreshadow the way of people. Skills make it possible to get social and economic independence, which gives a chance to become a successful professional”, added  Robert.

The Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation is a strategic partner of the 45th WorldSkills Kazan 2019. “We would like our Russia Team members taking part in the WorldSkills Competition in August to become mentors of others. These people are supposed to help in personality formation and make the profession of engineers and factory worker prestigious”, said the Director General of State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom Alexei Likhachev.
